@MyraA_Biochar @NU_ChemE The golf courses may use the algae sludge as recycled fertilizer. Our reactor sizing is based on the quantity of algae and contact time necessary for peak performance (Table 2).

@MyraA_Biochar @NU_ChemE Thank you! Golf courses are required to have a designated path for their runoff water that unfortunately usually leads to rivers and then oceans. Our system uses existing ponds to collect the runoff water generated. The placement of ponds will be accessed on an individual basis.

The study analyzed the algae's ability to absorb nitrates in a batch process whereas it would have been more ideal for the experiment to use a flow through method. Because our reactor yields a holding time of 20 min we were able to align the data with our scaled model
