Defend the rip.
Strike or clamp with the inside hand.
Then find the hip or rib cage.
Squeeze and flatten the rusher inside.
Never give him a clean lane.
Stay in front.
Don’t over-open the gate.
Inside foot can gain lateral ground.
Keep your body between the rusher and the quarterback.
Stay square. Stay in front. Keep the get out of it. Keep the hands replacing and refitting on surface changes. This skill needs lots of weekly work. Lots.we do almost all our pass pro work with helmets of. It intuitively teaches head out placement.
Wisconsin TE drill.
Starts from one knee and forces the player to generate power by pushing through the ground.
A good reminder that power doesn’t come from the hands. It starts with the feet, hips, and ability to create force from the ground up.

Summer Priorities for OL Coaches: Day 6/8
Championship teams are built on daily habits.
Not speeches.
Not motivation.
Habits.
Summer is the time to establish the routines and expectations that will define your offensive line room. How players practice, communicate, hustle, respond to coaching, and handle adversity all become part of your culture.
Good habits don’t happen by accident.
They are intentionally built every single day.
Washington repping Gallop Technique.
• Small inside step
• Short "Hop"
• Explode through the defender’s hip
• Feed him to your teammate
• Climb to the linebacker
A great way to create movement on combo blocks while staying square to the 2nd level.
