Busy people do a lot of triaging to figure out what to prioritize. I hope that no matter how busy I get, I remember all of the times someone could've prioritized me out but instead allocated time for me (usually with little net benefit for them), and pay that forward

@anand_bhattad Lately, I've seen discourse around this in conferences, and more programs identifying this too, so hopefully the acceptance increases ✨

@anand_bhattad For eg, project management is a skill civil engineers become adept at because of their on-field training. The ability to plan, and re-plan comes very handy in research. This obviously can't be at the cost of core skills that you may need to get into the program of your choice.

A lot of success is learning to grind when it's boring.

Staying engaged, working, and seeing it through when it's "boring" is a skill. If you expect all building to be exciting, you'll never make it.
