A man (67) and his wife (68) were stabbed, burned with boiling water and severely beaten during a farm attack in Broederstroom on Sunday night.

The couple were overpowered in their home on a game farm around 19:00 by three armed men, tied up and tortured for approximately three hours.

Yesterday, 05 October 2026, Hannetjie van Zyl was attacked at her own farm gate at Skaap Plaas, Doornpan Road, 20km outside Ottosdal. Hit at the back of the head. She could not even speak. Rushed to hospital where she DIED.
A farm woman. Dead. Because of a farm attack that happened on the same day.
But today? SILENCE!

We have seen Mr President Cyril Ramaphosa address the nation about women who have been killed in Kempton Park. All the nation knows about that. The media played it the whole day.
