as u get older, u realize that you’re not always right & there’s so many things u could’ve handled differently, so many situations where u could’ve been nicer and all u can really do is forgive yourself & let ur mistakes make u a better person.
@pallnandi Who cares about those mfs
Marriage was originated for love, companionship and adoration between two adults for happiness sake
Once you've achieved these you just give the middle finger to the feminist without brain
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.
Sometimes I accidentally accept the bare minimum trying to be considerate of what others are going through & that is a habit I need to let go of expeditiously
In anything you do in life, don't get used to crumbs. Make no mistake, they’ll times we may be forced to accept crumbs to move ahead, but make sure you are aware it is crumbs, and you deserve better. And if you accept crumbs for so long, you may start seeing it as normal.
turns out, reading a lot, exercising, loving people without expecting anything back, protecting your alone time, focusing only on improving yourself, and sometimes staying out late with friends who make you laugh until it hurts is a pretty good way to live.
I recently found out that my son attends Bible study at school. 🥹❤️
I asked him whether his friends know that he's born again. He said, "Yes, because I attend Bible study every Wednesday, and I pray before writing tests and before eating.
I genuinely DO NOT get the endgame. If the plan ends with a ruined planet, collapsed economies, and no working class left to spend money. What are billionaires actually hoarding wealth for? To sit in a bunker with numbers on a screen that don't mean anything anymore? Like what is the actual point? 😭
I grew up resenting my aunt for being well-off but not helping us financially.
When I started working, I promised myself I’d be a better version of her. I helped siblings, nieces, nephews, family — whoever needed it.
Then Black Tax had me in a chokehold, and eventually debt started catching up with me.
That’s when I learned to set boundaries.
I finally understood that I don’t owe anyone financial support simply because we’re family. And, most importantly, I stopped feeling guilty about it.
Funny how adulthood teaches you to understand the people you once judged.
