"Kachalla" is a title used in Northern Nigeria, particularly among the Kanuri people. It is an honorific title similar to "chief" or "leader" and is often associated with community or traditional leadership. The specific meaning and usage can vary across different regions and communities. Anytime one such leader is killed, they replace him wirh another Kachalla.

It is the similitude of an elective position. For instance, when you were removed from the senate, another person was elected. Senator Shehu Sani removed, then Senator Uba Sani went in. One Kachalla was removed and another Kachalla elected.
