To anyone who doubts our movement: It’s no coincidence that the day after we march in 400+ cities that the Senate came to an agreement on a gun reform package.
The. Pressure. Is. Working.

In the land of Superbowl commercials, when a small non-profit that fights against gun violence becomes Clio’s Advertiser of the Year, we should all know that our cultural values are slowly changing. This is just the beginning! Viva Guac. @ClioAwards @ChangeTheRef
We must end gun violence in America. The courageous officers killed at Bridgewater College in Virginia were protecting students, faculty, and the Bridgewater community. The @SecondGentleman and I are keeping their loved ones in our hearts.
Seems like @tiktok_us would rather incite school violence than prevent it. They took down our posts calling on school superintendents to #TalkAboutSafeGunStorage to parents. After you sign our petition https://t.co/eqEc9duZwX let them know how you feel about that.

This last week there were 11 separate mass shooting incidents in the US, where five people were killed and 55 were injured. I document all mass shooting incidents for the week in my Sunday Recap, so please take a moment to review them here: https://t.co/KJdma3Dk5h
“smarter, data-driven, and equity-centered policies are our best chance for curbing the current epidemic of gun violence and saving thousands of lives in the years to come.”

There are less than 3 months left in 2021 and we still don’t have universal background checks for guns.
We must continue to put pressure on Congress to act.
Spread the word.
This.
Do not “move on”
- Call your local congressman & demand actions not prayers
- Contribute to a Gun Violence Prevention org like @Ribbons4Jaime
- Become part of the movement by joining a group such as @MomsDemand that organize local initiatives
BE THE CHANGE.
THERE WAS A MASS SHOOTING YESTERDAY! Thankfully, nobody died. As soon as that became clear, the media moved on. DO NOT MOVE ON. DO NOT NORMALIZE GUN VIOLENCE!!! The next time, it could be your kid. Here is an example of what also happened yesterday.
