Kone bossing midfield at the World Cup - 50m no thanks not good enough
Bouaddi decent player but recycles possession, high energy but doesn’t dictate - generational talent got to spend 80m on him and loan him back to Lille if that’s what they want.
😳🫠
Government: we have a climate crisis, make sure your plastics are seperated. Also old people don’t qualify for heating.
Train companies: fares are going to increase because of operating costs.
Trains in summer: crank that heating on full blast during a heatwave.
@AfcElitefan5821 Alternatively it’s the signing Palace make at £35m, does extremely well and we look to buy for £70m in two years time (see Bruno Guimaraes). Trossard was brought in for a lower fee after Mudryk deal fell apart, he’s now a cult hero. PSG bought in Doue after a subpar season
@MrHaq15@sushilofenomeno@UTDlegendary Going to stick my neck out but Santos for 50m will be better value than Fernandes at 85. Look at how many players have struggled at Chelshit.
Too many people think money equals quality that’s just not true at all!
@sushilofenomeno@UTDlegendary@MrHaq15 Klopp was the master at this - took Robertson from a relegated Hull, Mane & VVD from Southampton, Salah who barely got a kick at Chelsea from Roma. Never understand why people turn their noses up at players at smaller clubs if the profile and skillset is what your team need.
@sushilofenomeno@UTDlegendary Been really impressed with him this World Cup he’s been very good in that midfield. We looked at him when was relegated with Sheffield United and was hoping we’d have got him.
@sushilofenomeno@UTDlegendary Agreed, brilliant player so surprised he’s never got a top move I think he transitions so well into a top team. Matic/Rabiot style of play - next to a more expansive midfield player would be a great midfield.
@sushilofenomeno@UTDlegendary To be clear I like him - I just think anyone is over paying at the moment cause he has a lot to add to his game to be worth that much.
Reminds me of Guendouzi, who never pushed on and ultimately career faded away.
@sushilofenomeno@UTDlegendary Bouaddi reminds me of Elneny. Lots of energy but his passes are often just recycling possession rather than anything hugely impactful. Dictates tempo but not a lot else. Not to say he couldn’t add things to his game he’s very young but anyone is over-paying on what they want
@sushilofenomeno I think your problem (just imo) has been signing experienced rather than bringing in players who have ability and ability to get better.
I think he’ll do well next year and then go from strength to strength. That’s what you need!
@joegooders I can’t see Kroupi happening if we get Bruno & Rogers - not unless there is a monster sale of a Havertz or Odegaard.
I like AWB - he’s very quick going forward too and looks much more mature since his time at West Ham especially as it’s a backup role.
@joegooders Agreed Barcola is great but seen at World Cup struggles against deep blocks, similar to Martinelli (who id look at centrally) so 100% agree Rogers is my preference.
Not many incredible left wing players that suit our style.
Heard Wan-Bissaka being looked at RB cover
@joegooders Would be extremely pleased if we get it over the line, the best of all the above mentioned.. sounds like Newcastle won’t want to lose both Tonali & Guimaraes in the same window so I reckon 70 will be where we end up.
Messi whole career been a series of questionable decisions going his teams way. Sorry but regardless of how good he is, his glittered career has been given silver service at Barcelona & Argentina. Haven’t forgotten the 2022 World Cup and the decisions they were given!
