🚨Arsenal are not pursuing Marcus Rashford because they don’t view him as a player who fits Mikel Arteta’s system or elevates the squad to the next level. They do not see him as an upgrade to either Martinelli or Trossard.
The club saw the move as a short-term gamble, not a long-term solution, and preferred to avoid stop-gap signings. Definitely not for a player out of favour at Manchester United and not wanted by Barcelona.
Instead, Arteta’s targets are players identified as long-term options who suit the team’s style and trajectory.
