It’s a bit rich of the water companies in England threatening hosepipe bans after just a few warm days.
3 billion litres of water every single day is lost through neglected and leaking pipes — that’s roughly one-fifth of the water supply disappearing before it reaches taps.
Since privatisation in 1989, they’ve sold off at least 35 reservoirs for a £26 million profit, while building barely any new ones.
They lecture the public on “saving water” while their own crumbling network haemorrhages billions of litres daily and they asset-strip the very infrastructure needed for water security during dry weather spells.
Fix your leaks. Build new reservoirs. Then come back and talk about hosepipe bans.
@CarlBovisNature Don't gIve up that easily! Surely you could find somewhere within a couple of hours away?
We went middle of May but the North Wind did blow and trips were cancelled 😐 We will be trying again next year 🤞
This is what entitlement looks like! 🤬
There are nesting waterbirds on this pond on Hampstead Heath... there are also big 'No Swimming' signs, all being totally ignored! 🤬
Pure selfishness... 😒🤬🤬

Please god people will listen and take David Attenborough’s most important warnings seriously. He is not exaggerating. We are in the most unimaginable trouble.
Isn’t it great that we’re celebrating David Attenborough’s 100th birthday whilst ignoring the message he’s spent the last 20 years trying to get through to us:
“Thanks Martin, I found a lost pension from when I was 22, it’s now worth £45,000!” So can you do what Rose did? Martin shows you how to check…

This paragraph from Carl Jung hits so hard.
“The world is full of people suffering from the effects of their own unlived life. They become bitter, critical, or rigid, not because the world is cruel to them, but because they have betrayed their own inner possibilities. The artist who never makes art becomes cynical about those who do. The lover who never risks loving mocks romance. The thinker who never commits to a philosophy sneers at belief itself. And yet, all of them suffer, because deep down they know: the life they mock is the life they were meant to live.”
That fresh smell after rain is called petrichor.
When raindrops hit dry soil, they release plant oils and geosmin from bacteria, creating that rich, earthy scent.
This is incredible..turn the volume UP!😍🐦🎶
How many sounds do you hear?
