@iam_elias1 Nobody saw it coming? Expecting model compute cost to go down is natural. However compute is still significantly below where we need it if ai adoption grows as we’ve seen from anthropic situation. Even if compute costs less the supply of compute remains unchanged.
@Mayhem4Markets@SupBagholder That’s what they meant. 80B in reality labs is far beyond just horizon worlds and covers a lot of other projects that are at least some results worth showing
@AdamMancini4 Hey @AdamMancini4 long time subscriber to your Substack, was trying to change from monthly to annual plan and noticed something odd where it was charging 405$ on the annual plan vs 23$ monthly. Was confused why it charged 60% more than 12* monthly cost
@No1caresellmore@ai_hyperbull@sharongoldman Read, even just regular missiles being autonomously fired. Shit is still extremely unreliable. Can it distinguish a fake news report on Twitter claiming a nuke was targeting the US lol
@No1caresellmore@ai_hyperbull@sharongoldman I mean can you imagine the consequences of having AI autonomously shoot anti nuclear defense missiles? You really think that’s a good idea?
@aakashgupta lol if you are going to say 250k si chat conversations is sufficient to train a competitive top of the line model then the hundreds of millions of users all these services have using their services must make them kings by default
@kycefn The only way things go obselete is if there’s some very specific Hw accelerator advantage that new models uniquely rely on which is unrealistic given they’re designed to work on generalized Hw chips for maximum appeal to developers.
@kycefn Data centers won’t be obselete. There may be more efficient electricity saving chips out there but buying and building the equivalent supply built in these years will run into the same massive expenses and long cycle for constructing a data center.
Any better models still run
@unusual_whales@jam_croissant Surprised huawei got added so late after they already sanctioned them years ago.
After tencent was added it became hard to take this seriously.
@OfMikeAndMen People funding protests in support and protestors being appalled at perceived law enforcement violence and violations of civil rights aren’t mutually exclusive.
The question is not about protestors it’s about whether ICE is truly doing anything against American rights.
