What an incredibly fun day at Royal Standard Lodge yesterday! Great ceremony in the temple, hilarious address to the haggis at the festive board, and brilliant company throughout!
Fun night at Emulation Lodge of Improvement! Was asked to occupy the JW's chair for a passing, and only need a few corrections π so I bit the bullet and signed a joining form. Looking forward to many more Friday nights in Room 9!
Wednesday was my final meeting as Scribe N for Euclid Chapter of Installed Principals as we held our Installation Convocation. A very fun night, and was honoured to be asked to give the Address to the Principals. Best festive board at the DoubleTree for years, too!
Packed masonic day yesterday! First helped out Avenue Chapter at Duke Street for an Exaltation as DC, doing the third part of PS and the Mystical Lecture. Then over to MMH to for an LoI for Skelmersdale Lodge ahead of a double Raising next Thursday!
@riverlodges @Aklondon33 The jurisdiction may not be
The order, however, is. Five of the eleven founders were Jewish. The idea that Brethren who founded the order would be refused the ability to join in a handful of jurisdictions (six at last count, soon to be five) is clearly an absurd position.
So last Wednesday I attended a fantastic White Table for Tuscan Rose Croix Chapter. I am so happy that the jurisdiction is catching up to the rest of the world and restoring itself to the Universal order it has always been and meant to be. Looking forward to my perfection!
And then Thursday saw my official VO visit to Lodge of Fraternal Unity for a wonderful duo of ceremonies, a passing followed by a raising. I'm really looking forward to their 70th anniversary meeting in April, where their inaugural initiate is getting his 70th year certificate!!!
Great Masonic week so far! Monday I went to my first ever Chapter centenary at Amicus Chapter, and then yesterday I was Elevated into the Royal Ark Mariners! That's six orders now π
Friday was one of those masonic meetings I will never forget, acting as senior deacon for an OCTUPLE Raising at Ubique Lodge 1789. An incredibly rare and special event and one I'm very proud to have been part of!
Happy new year twitter! Started off the Masonic year last night with a visit to Lodge 10k, a thoroughly enjoyable night. I worked out yesterday that I had 138 Masonic engagements in 2023 - hoping to cut back to just double figures this year!
My final chapter meeting of 2023 last night visiting Blackheath Chapter 1320. Top notch high quality ritual in the temple and such wonderful conviviality and Brotherly Love at the festive board, perfect way to wrap up Royal Arch for the year, looking forward to visiting again!
Really special Chapter meeting seeing someone I really look up to in Masonry receive their certificate for 50 years of service to the Royal Arch, presented by the Second Grand Principal. A truly beautiful moment for someone who embodies the best of Freemasonry
A hugely enjoyable Saturday with two meetings! Firstly Polytechnic Chapter 2847 where I got to act as MEZ for an Exaltation, followed by my first visit to Old Hamptonians Lodge 5730 to see a friend being Raised! Now just three meetings left til Christmas
An incredible meeting of Oakwood Lodge yesterday, my first experience of West Kent Masonry! A fantastic meeting followed by phenomenal camaraderie at the festive board that for me really highlighted the beauty of Freemasonry! And got to form the #MSC with @Steve_the_mason !
Another incredible meeting last night of the most intellectually stimulating Lodge I know of, and one I'm very grateful to belong to, Fratres Calami 3791. Been left with many things to mull over! Can't wait for the next one in March
What a special night! 16 and a half years after he brought me into Freemasonry, last night I got to bring Dad into a Masonic order! Dad was Chosen into Metropolitan Council of Royal & Select Masters no. 340, everyone did such a wonderful job, it was a truly beautiful meeting!
A truly historic meeting of Metropolitan Grand Stewards' 9812 last night as for the first time in Lodge history we performed a "live" ceremony, conducting a Passing on behalf of a University Scheme Lodge! A fantastic night and a real honour getting to play a role in the ceremony!
Installation Convocation for my mother Chapter last night, Barnato 2265. A thoroughly enjoyable night - and now as of next year, every officer in the ladder will be a first timer!
I never thought I'd ever get the opportunity to do a ceremony alongside Dad. However, yesterday I got to do just that, as Dad and I were "Lawrenced" into Londinium Council of Allied Masonic Degrees! A really special evening!
