Blaming gravity for aging? @deepigoyal
That’s one way to defy medical science and physics in one swipe! 😒
Aging is a complex cellular process and governed not just by a math equation “gravity + standing upright.”
Here are some indisputable facts that your hypothesis, as any other that follows scientific rigor, must consider:
1/ Blood flow to the brain is smartly regulated despite gravity. Our bodies have protective systems (autoregulation, baroreflexes) ensuring oxygen and nutrients are consistently delivered to the brain in all postures. It doesn’t just run out of battery like a phone!
2/ Brain cells adapt; minor blood flow shifts don’t equal ‘brain aging’ over decades. It’s evolution’s design.
3/ Aging in all - upright humans or four-legged animals, whether the head is lower or higher than the heart - is driven by DNA damage, mitochondrial wear, inflammation, loss of protein balance, hormonal changes, disturbed communication between cells and clearance of dead or dying cells; not a simple posture vs gravity game. Tall, short, lying down or standing - our cells all age, gravity or not.
4/ What about Astronauts? Would they, with no gravity to impede the blood supply to their brains achieve immortality? Quite the contrary. Space travelers experience zero gravity and yet show biomarkers that suggest accelerated aging and brain changes.
5/ There are millions in their nineties or even past 100, whose mental acuity remains sharp until the day they die. Clearly there are mechanisms of ensuring enough nourishment to their brains which a 100 years of gravity cannot diminish.
6/ Suggesting hanging upside-down as anti-aging mantra? This lacks real clinical evidence. In fact, in those with high blood pressure, spine and joint problems, and certain eye conditions, it could be risky.
Stay grounded, literally and scientifically!
It’s crucial to challenge ideas, but let’s stay rooted in science. Aging involves genetics, epigenetics (environment, how you live), and molecular decline, not just gravity’s pull.
Science > oversimplified gravity tales. Keep questioning, keep evolving. #ScienceMatters
Just walked out of the hospital. Ready to call it a day.
Only to realise that BILLIONS are sleeping peacefully at this moment only because of our Armed Forces.
Eternally grateful to them. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
The Pahalgam terror attack is a brutal assault on innocent lives and our nation’s peace.
Such cowardice must be met with swift and unwavering justice. We owe it to our nation to stand united against hatred & demand that the perpetrators be brought to account. #PahalgamAttack
Swati defeated terminal liver failure and scored the win of her life by undergoing a successful liver transplant in 2002.
Here she is, 23 years later, winning accolades in Badminton at the National Transplant Games 2025!

The 3rd ODI between India & England in Ahmedabad today is a special one:
At the match, the @ICC & @BCCI are launching “Donate Organs, Save Lives”. Entry tickets also contain a QR code for registering to pledge one’s organs.
We are aiming to set a World Record for online organ donation pledges in one hour (11:30 -12:30 PM, pledge at: https://t.co/QYury3pMHE)
Watch our players promote this noble lifesaving cause.
"One donor can save up to 8 lives. Pledge today & hit a six for humanity."

Delighted and honoured to receive an Honorary Doctorate at the Amity University Annual Convocation. Grateful for this honor🙏
A beautiful & heartwarming celebration of the new Graduants — the ignited young minds that will rule the world!

Can we extend our lifespan to 100 years or more?
At the inaugural #DakshinHealthcareSummit in #Hyderabad, Dr @ArvinderSoin, chairman of the Institute of Liver Transplantation & Regenerative Medicine at Medanta, dives deep into the science of longevity.

Anshuman donated half his liver to save his mother who was dying from liver failure. This day. 16 years ago!
She gave him birth. He gave her a new life. No bigger gift. No greater Karma.
Be someone’s hero — become an organ donor. #OrganDonationDay
Life saving organs donors in Odisha will now be cremated with full state honours.
This is so so heartwarming, and is a massive step towards organ donation & transplant awareness. Brilliant idea for other states to follow suit! @Naveen_Odisha
Unforgettably heartwarming ICU rounds today. As I approached to tell Rahul he was doing fine after his liver transplant, he gave me a broad smile as his eyes welled up.
Was absolutely blown away by his story: it’s his 45th birthday today. He told us he ushered his birthday just as he entered the icu last night at the stroke of midnight after a successful transplant! He said, “my second life birthday is the same as my first!!” 🙏🙏
Hard work never killed anybody..
I’ve worked over 70 hrs a week most of my life.
In spirit, am completely with Mr Murthy — youth must work hard.
My mantra to avoid heart attack:
- Sleep 7 hours
- Eat healthy
- Control alcohol
- Laugh often
- 200 min moderate exercise weekly
- Invest in meaningful relationships
- Over 40: screen & treat risk factors for diabetes & heart disease
Endlessly inspired by our scientists & their record-breaking science that made #Chandrayaan3 possible
We are on the moon.. Surreal!! 🇮🇳
