Call of Duty: World at War was initally going to have a much deeper focus on vehicle combat within the game before being scrapped.

After a play reached a 7 kill streak, the player would have the ability to call in a tank. The tank would be able to be fully customized like your loadout weapon would be. Players could mod the tank to have:

• Upgraded Main Gun Sights
• Faster Turret Traverse
• Upgraded Engine
• Upgraded Transmission
• Upgraded Suspension
• Smoke Launcher
• Flank Armor
• Mantle Armor
• Turret Armor
• Flame Thrower
