The last remaining titan from Aegon’s original Conquest. She is over 180 years old, the size of a floating island, and permanently grumpy. Vhagar doesn't take orders; she just allows Aemond to point her toward things he wants deleted from existence.

Caraxes (The Blood Wyrm)
Rider: Daemon Targaryen

Deformed, elongated like a snake, and horrifyingly lethal. Caraxes is battle-hardened and shares an almost psychotic telepathic bond with Daemon. His signature screech sounds like a screeching train brake pure nightmare fuel.

Sunfyre (The Golden)
Rider: King Aegon II

Widely called the most beautiful dragon to ever fly, with scales of pure gold. But don’t let the looks fool you—Sunfyre is a brutal, ride-or-die fighter. He survives horrific maulings just to crawl back to his rider. Pure grit.

Syrax (The Pampered Queen)
Rider: Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen

Named after an old Valyrian goddess, Syrax is a stunning yellow-gold. Unlike Caraxes, she grew up pampered in captivity, hunting kept beasts instead of battling. A majestic symbol of royalty, but tragically unready for the cruelty of total war. 

Meleys (The Red Queen)
Rider: Rhaenys Targaryen

In her prime, Meleys was the fastest dragon alive. Covered in scarlet scales and pink wing membranes, she was magnificent. At Rook's Rest, she went down like an absolute heavyweight boxer, taking on Vhagar and Sunfyre simultaneously. 

Vermithor (The Bronze Fury)
Rider: Jaehaerys I ➔ Hugh Hammer

The second largest dragon alive after Vhagar. For decades, he was the mount of the Old King Jaehaerys, sleeping in volcanic caves after his death. He is massive, terrifyingly aggressive, and his breath can melt solid steel armor in a blink.

Seasmoke (The Silver Ghost)
Rider: Laenor Velaryon ➔ Addam of Hull
A gorgeous silver-grey beast that fought valiantly in the Stepstones. After Laenor "died," Seasmoke was lonely and restless—until he literally picked his own new bastard rider, Addam, proving dragons care more about blood than titles. 

Dreamfyre & Tessarion (The Blue Royalty)
Dreamfyre (Helaena): A pale blue beauty. Fun fact: Lore heavily implies she is the actual biological mother of Daenerys Targaryen’s three dragons!
Tessarion (Daeron): Known as the "Blue Queen" for her striking cobalt and copper scales. A gorgeous tactical weapon. 

The Wild Dragons of Dragonstone

The Cannibal: A pitch-black monster that literally eats younger dragons and eggs. Never claimed.

Sheepstealer: A muddy brown wild dragon tamed by a clever bastard girl named Nettles using sheep carcasses.

Grey Ghost: A shy, fish-eating dragon that hid in the smoke. 

The Dance of the Dragons is ultimately a tragedy—a war where humanity used beautiful, magical creatures to act out their own petty dynastic grudges, leading to their near extinction.
