I shout my opinions out into the void.
I don't know what is scarier: the fact that there is no reply, or the idea that one day the void might talk back.
@BDaveWalters Looking good @BDaveWalters
I don't go to the gym, but I did base an entire religion in my TTRPG based on on your gym shots:
The Ironmonger - Lawful Neutral Deity of Strength (War/Life domains). Acolytes wear a heavy iron chain like a bandolier. Worship at the Iron Temple.
Hey Sophie! Welcome to the exclusive Most Complete Fossil Club. Members include: Haddy the Hadrosaurus, Horridus the Triceratops, and Little Foot the Australopithecus.
We have a few living members, but most of them are busy with congress. That's a little America joke for you.
This week I get to take care of this little buddy. His legs aren't working right now, so he is stuck receiving oodles of cuddles and slathers of scritches.
Days do not get shorter in winter.
The period of daylight in a day gets shorter during the first 21 days of meteorological winter (I note @neiltyson refers to astronomical winter, which is cool too).
The length of a day remains constant at an average of 86,400 seconds. #Science

We've all heard it told: "days get shorter in the Winter". But since today is the December Solstice, the first day of Winter and shortest day of the year (in the North), that means the days instead get **longer** in the Winter.
Just sayin'.
You could also consider solar winter, which would start on 7 November.
This all of course assumes you're in the northern hemisphere.
Regardless, "days" don't get longer or shorter by more than a few fractions of a second for a given location.
oh my god! i named this book?? I wrote this little throwaway line about Volo's upcoming book for Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and why he owns the deed to Trollskull and some splendid writer at @larianstudios adapted it (and his dismal knowledge of "spirits") into a book in BG3!!
@SUEtheTrex And here I was thinking it was a holiday about a career criminal who plans all year to break into each and every home in the world and never steal anything, but rather just to prove that he can without ever getting caught.
Once upon a time, in 2014, Nintendo took hard losses. Their president Satoru Iwata cut his own pay by 50%. Legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto willingly took a 30% cut. Other board members also cut their pay by 20%. They did this to avoid firing staff. This is leadership.
