FIV+ Rescue cat who landed on his paws. Baron Gus of Smithfield, 3 mins prowl from Europe’s largest wholesale meat market. Enormous green melty eyes if hungry.
Our bravest little soul, Gus, passed away earlier today, at home and in the arms of his mum and dad, painlessly guided by his wonderful vets.
Thank you everybody here for your kindness x
Our first ever, long overdue charity sign is up, bearing both our name and that of Tony Welsh, the cat-loving man behind the legacy that made this promising new “vet baby” possible 🥹… 🙏
Our brand new Vet practice at 68 Springbank Road, Hither Green is open for registrations!
I love Christmas but sometimes it's exhausting, so good to get out my ridiculous outfit, back to fur, and have a well earned rest. Wishing you all a happy and relaxing Christmas! 🎅🐾
I’m looking for a home for sweet Garfield, Ralph’s dad! He’s not fixed and I plan to take him to the vet for the first time, but he has been living around my family’s house as an outdoor stray for a while. They feed him table scraps, but can’t afford to take him in. (1/2)
Congratulations to our recently adopted cats 💞
In recent weeks some of the cats we’ve bid a fond farewell to are Zenobia, Dotty & Gizmo, Trinny, Stella, Katie, Pickle, Shadow, Sherlock, Mitzi and our special tabby FIP survivor, Truffle 🎉

It’s #GiftAidAwarenessDay today so we’d like to thank everyone for ticking the box! When you #TickTheBox we can claim an extra 25p on every £1 donated so we can do so much more. Every small donation makes a big difference and helps us to continue helping cats in need.
It’s a week since we lost our boy. We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everybody here for your wonderful kind messages (hundreds of them, which is beautiful and very humbling). We take great comfort in them & are trying to focus on happy memories of Gus x

@CassieJFox The Gustronaut voyaged from meal to meal. Including things that cats don’t traditionally like and things the butlers could have sworn were for their own meals…
@lolarites This was Gus…he loved ear rubs and head scritches but if they took too long and delayed treats, he could do the most wonderful side-eye to move things along😻
Hi #CatsOfTwitter has anybody got any tips for getting a tube-fed cat w/ diarrhoea who won’t eat to swallow pro-Kolin paste? can’t put it down the feeding tube in case it clogs. when we try to stick it to the roof of his mouth, he spits it out? *all* ideas welcome. ThankU x
The Gustronaut still has an upset tummy (poor chap, it’s just one thing after another) but his butlers are keeping him clean, tube-fed and medicated. And comfy via the provision of stable and non-fidgety laps #CatsAreFamily
I hate doing this, but I am desperate for sales, as currently a few hundred pounds short of being able to cover my bills this month.
Please, if you’ve ever thought about buying from me, now would be a great time. Even if all you can do is retweet this, I’d be so grateful (1/2)
First time we’ve seen the Gustronaut curled up like this in a while….dozing softly, purring loudly when stroked. Tummy still iffy but he seems to have been a bit more mobile during the night #CatsAreFamily
