@mancunianmedic Once had a referral for endoscopy of a “nicotine impregnated woman who is complaining of a burning sensation from her throat to her vagina and I hope you have a scope long enough to reach the depths of her despair”
She was “delightful” though.
@clairedocdavies I turn mine off if I need a “comfort break”but don’t want to miss the talk. Assumed my VTS teaching group on Teams had all eaten the same dodgy meal today but turns out they may just own cats that show off! Very reassuring
@NicolaDRoberts@shrewsburyark@RiversideGP @ShropsCCG Fantastic achievement. I am so delighted you have finally got this going. Filling a real gap in patient care. Well done Nikki!
@DrSdeG Something proundly human happens in F2F contact that is often therapeutic and difficult to replicate remotely. The loss of this will be dissatisfied patients and doctors who lose the professionally sustaining relationships from long term care that make GP the best job in medicine
@DrSdeG I have lots of colleagues telling me remote consulting saves time. It is the content of the consultation that determines how long it takes not the mode of contact.
@tivaisgreener For more interactive discussions we have split the Shropshire GPVTS into small virtual groups with resources and a peer facilitator and then we have access to the groups to participate and support.
@tivaisgreener Works for traditional lecture with questions format. Worth sending PowerPoint slides in advance as sometimes connection problems affect clarity.
