There’s method to my madness. I am deliberately posting every illegal migrant rape reported by the mainstream media, alongside cases involving offenders of Muslim heritage.

The Government refuses to publish the data, so those of us in the background are collating it from the media and court records. If they refuse to publish the truth, we will publish ours. Sweden, Denmark and Germany are acting, whilst Britain does nothing. Andy Burnham says he understands the concern about illegal immigration, yet still refuses to act.

This Is What Contempt Looks Like With A Price Tag Attached

Downing Street has confirmed something rare: a policy its own officials admit will cost taxpayers more, defended not on value for money but on principle alone. A source told the Telegraph that Andy Burnham "acknowledges that it would cost more money to do it more fairly, but that is what we need to do." No pretence that this saves anything. No claim it improves outcomes. Just the word "fairer," attached to a bill nobody has been asked to approve.

Read the same source's quote in full and the contradiction sits in one sentence. "We all want to see fewer people crossing to the UK and a decreased use of all asylum accommodation, but it needs to be fairer in the meantime." A government genuinely expecting this system to shrink does not spend extra money reorganising how it is distributed. You redesign the internal fairness of a problem you have accepted is staying, not one you are actively working to end. The sentence gives away the government's real timeline more honestly than anything Burnham has said on camera.

The mechanism confirms it. Wealthier areas are currently excluded from hosting asylum seekers because Home Office rent caps make their housing too expensive to qualify. Ministers are now "considering raising the cap" specifically to make richer postcodes eligible. This is not a government correcting an unfairness it discovered. It is a government deliberately re-engineering the rules so that unfairness can be corrected at greater cost, a fairness gap manufactured, then solved, entirely by choice.

The MPs pushing back understand exactly what has been admitted. Joe Robertson, whose Isle of Wight constituency has hosted no asylum seekers, said "self-serving political choices which cost more would be wrong on every level." He is responding to Downing Street's own words, not inventing a grievance. Dame Harriett Baldwin said her Malvern Hills constituents would "certainly not welcome thousands of male illegal asylum seekers into mass accommodation which does not actually exist here." James Whelan warned that moving asylum seekers into areas like the Isle of Wight would erode what he called its "high-trust society," and offered the sharper diagnosis underneath all of it: "The answer to a failed immigration system isn't to spread that failure across the country. It's to get to grips with the failing immigration system."

That is the distinction the government is avoiding. Fixing distribution and fixing the crisis are different projects, and Downing Street has chosen to spend real money on the first while declining, again, to put a number on the second. Burnham would not commit to stopping small boat crossings by the next election. He will commit, at extra cost to the public, to making sure more of the country shares in housing the people who keep arriving anyway.

The £2.7 billion already spent on asylum accommodation in a single year did not buy a plan to end the need for it. It bought hotels, then barracks and shared housing to bring the number down, and now a costlier redistribution exercise justified by principle rather than outcome. Every step has had a price tag and a press line. None has come with a date for when any of it ends.

A government that treated the public with genuine respect would spend that money closing the gap between arrival and removal, not the gap between one postcode's exposure and another's. Burnham has chosen the second gap, called it fairness, and told the country in advance that it will cost more. Deciding this on the public's behalf, without asking, and billing them for it afterwards, is contempt with a price tag attached, whatever principle it is dressed in.

The Free Speech Union is taking an interest in the story of Jason Arday for a number of reasons.

First, we want to know who paid for the threatening letter from the law firm Carter-Ruck — effectively a SLAPP — that was sent to Times Higher Education in an attempt to get journalist Jack Grove to stop asking Professor Arday questions about his academic record.

Was it Jason Arday himself? The University of Cambridge? Or the Good Law Project?

Second, we want to know who reported both the academic and former professor David Harris and Times Higher Education journalist Jack Grove to the police, alleging harassment after they began asking Arday questions about his academic and extracurricular record.

In David Harris’s case, the Metropolitan Police referred the complaint to Devon and Cornwall Police, which rightly decided there was nothing to investigate.

But in Jack Grove’s case, he was contacted by the police and informed that he had been the subject of a four-month investigation by the Met. While officers said they would be taking no further action, he was told he should refrain from questioning Jason Arday again because it was also affecting Arday’s mental health.

The police should never be telling journalists whom they can and cannot question — particularly when there are legitimate questions that need answering.

Powerful people should not be able to use the police to silence journalists and academics who are simply asking questions and doing their jobs.

The Free Speech Union has written to Sir Mark Rowley, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, to ask what on earth his officers were playing at. He has yet to reply.

If Jason Arday was the person who reported these individuals to the police, that is one thing. But if it was the University of Cambridge, that would be even more serious — and is something FSU General Secretary Lord Young will be raising in Parliament in due course.

Wales has declared itself a “Nation of Sanctuary.”
That phrase should make every working taxpayer in this country feel sick.
While British families wait years on housing lists, while young people can’t afford a flat, while veterans sleep rough and pensioners choose between heating and eating, the Welsh Government is busy rolling out the red carpet for people who arrived here illegally. They call it sanctuary. The rest of us call it a deliberate middle finger to the people who actually built and pay for this country.
This is not compassion, it is political vanity dressed up as virtue. It is a signal to the world that if you jump the queue, cross the Channel, or game the system, Wales will prioritise you. Housing. Services. Integration programmes. All while native communities are told to shut up and be grateful for the enrichment.
We already know the pattern. Illegal entrants and failed asylum seekers have been involved in serious violent and sexual crimes across Britain. That is not “far-right talking points.” It is court records and police data. Yet the response from Cardiff Bay is more funding, more welcome packs, more lectures about “hate.” The message could not be clearer: your safety and your children’s safety come second to the political project.
The Welsh people did not vote for this. The British people did not vote for this. Poll after poll shows the public wants control, removals, and an end to the open invitation. Instead we get “Nation of Sanctuary” branding and ministers insisting that questioning it is somehow un-Welsh.
Enough. This is not Britain. This is a government that has decided the native population is the problem and the illegal entrant is the client.
We have had enough of being told our anger is illegitimate while our towns, our housing, and our daughters are treated as secondary concerns.
Close the sanctuary. Enforce the borders. Put the British people first for once.
