Being a flowergirl when we were little was so teaaa. You get all new everything, kwanza fancy stuff😂 tiara, dress, tights, shoess, kale kabasket, glovesss. Hair laiddd. They would even let you ujipake lipstick, perfume and cutex😂😂 plus the glitter that would stay in your hair for dayss. The singing, everyone looking nice. Peak girlhood.
The wildest part about POVERTY is how much time it steals. Waiting for buses. Calling assistance offices. Comparing grocery prices. Fighting insurance. Sitting at laundromats. Being poor is a second job nobody pays you for.
I'm so tired of privileged influencers telling Kenyans they're poor because they lack an abundance mindset. People are fighting systemic poverty and you're telling them to just change their mindset? Disband those podcasts and everybody to go home😭
