Let me make something explicitly clear to anybody visiting my timeline.
LGBTQ isn't an 'ideology'. It's my lived experience and you will not diminish my experience with *your* ideology.
My existence isn't a 'movement'. I 'move' for my existence and that's very different.
One of my favourite habits during Fringe when I was managing a venue, in view of Edinburgh castle, was to tell tourists who asked where it was that "it gets taken down in the summer and it tours around Europe before coming back at the end of August"... and they'd just believe it.
TDIL that in Cornwall they've had problems with American tourists walking into houses and having a picnic in people's back gardens because they didn't believe people actually lived there and they were at a theme park/museum 😬
In case you don't know about Edinburgh Castle... you can't fucking miss it.
It sits on a hill right in the centre of the city and, generally, rises above the surrounding areas.
Love that Americans spent *months* ridiculing Europeans for thinking they could walk to a stadium and all it took was for a Scotsman to turn up and walk from the Metlife to Manhattan for probably 10% of them to shut up.
'I genuinely didn't think that the Labour Government would go that far'
Hasan Piker tells The National about his experience being banned from entering the UK over 'anti-Israel' comments
I'm totally fine with American English being its own thing but, fuck me, you're taking the piss sometimes in a way that demonstrates much more than you realise.
Oh, something to add to fucking stupid Americans calling pasta 'noodles' and pronouncing 'croissants' wrong...
IT'S 'NOT-REH DAM' AND NOT 'NOTER DAME' YOU DESPICABLE FUCKS!
They seemingly have issues with European languages; amongst many other things.
@maa10816 There was a point earlier where I legit thought it was going to swoop in my window and then I would take that as a sign from the bat distribution system to have a bat living in the house.
Not enough people are awestruck by bats.
