@CFWMary Registered care providers are the sustainable way forward to getting people out of hospitals in a timely fashion. Looking for the cheap otion simply isn't sustainable. The sooner @WelshGovernment , Local Authorities and the Health Boards realise this, the better.
Really disappointed there was no direct mention of the role of the role registered care providers - both care homes and care at home providers- can play in this.
Let’s work together in partnership on this 💪
Worrying but not surprising when Denbighshire pay some of the lowest care fees across Wales - they are keeping staff wages low making it extremely challenging to retain and recruit
It's Living Wage Week 🎉
We're celebrating our growing movement of over 400 Welsh accredited employers who choose to pay a real Living Wage at a time when it's never mattered more.

Thanks so much. And yes, I agree - we have a desperate shortage of care workers as you know, and offering decent pay is vital if that is to be addressed. Thank you for your care and for your determination in holding Govt and decision-makers to account.
@LivingWageUK Excellent story. Lovely to hear that
@LivingWageWales
is making a difference to peoples lives.
@WelshGovernment
have gone very quite on their pledge to ensure all social care workers in Wales paid it. @CeidiogPR

Real Living Wage 'has changed how I live my life' says Cai.

@BBCWalesNews Social care workers in Wales certainly face a bleak winter now that @welshgovernmemt have done a u-turn on their pledge to ensure social care workers are paid the @LivingWageUK
Really!! @WelshLabour appear to have done a u-turn on that pledge. The @LivingWageWales has gone up to £10.90. Is @WelshGovernment really committed to paying it? They've gone very quite! Too much to fund perhaps.
❤️ In the face of a global pandemic, the dedication of our social care workforce has inspired a nation.
🤝 We pledge to give our carers a fair deal and the real Living Wage.
#MovingWalesForward
How about meaningful suppprt for Social Care Workers in Wales e.g the Real Living Wage. £1 an hour would make a huge difference, fantastic support, thanks to @LivingWageWales. @WelshGovernment need to step up and honour their pledge.
This #MiniBudget embeds unfairness across the UK.
The UK Government should be offering meaningful support to those who need it the most. Instead, they’re giving tax cuts to the rich, bonuses to bankers and protecting the eye-watering profits of energy companies.
