Deeply shocking to read this official US statement, which contains absolutely no expression of regret or condolence for the loss of innocent Indian lives. How can a “friend” and strategic partner be so deeply insensitive?
Why couldn’t a non-compliant commercial vessel have been stopped using other, non-lethal means? Is it not possible to disable a ship's propulsion or steering without firing missiles targeted to kill civilian crew members?
Practically every merchant ship navigating these crucial waters has Indian crew on board. Are they all considered fair game for US missiles now?
This approach is unacceptable and I hope @DrSJaishankar had said so to @marcorubio.

@thatssodhawal Good behaviour starts at home & not top. Start inculcating good behaviour in home, teach your children whats right & wrong and maybe in 2 generations time we 'may' achieve the results, a developed country with good civics sense
@flipkartsupport , I want to know where is my product? You have already delayed it by a week & still there is no information of when it will be delivered?
My order id is OD435774699890330100
EPFO is a nightmare. I've been trying for over a year to merge two accounts (past and present employer).
All other information has been same for 20 years. Yet merger denied.
All I get is cryptic dismissals of complaints - case closed.
No interest paid for two years.
Between tax, epfo and every other government service - unending KYC and unending bureaucracy. It's fatiguing.
Hello EPFO, I have been trying to link my aadhar number with my PF account through my previous employer. It's been more than 4 months & I'm being told the application is still in progress. Can you please look into this?
My UAN number is 100158516799

What are Bengaloorians doing?
Went out to vote during noon time, hardly 10 people were there to cast their vote.
Apparently Blore had the lowest turn out of voters
@jashingwekar@FinMinIndia@DirHR_iocl@nsitharaman I'm also facing issue of simple linking of my aadhar with UAN number. My UAN a/c doesn't open. The issue is running for more than one year & EPFO is hardly bothered
@cardio73 Kamath mam, he is my friend. I was shocked when I heard about his condition in our WhatsApp group.
Real eye opener for all of us on importance of health
Those of you who are planning to take up running on a regular basis in 2024, please read on:
I started running in November 2020 (completed >3 years of consistent running). During this period, I have run >14,000 km (including 822 10km runs and 133 half marathons). I run outdoors and have remained injury-free.
When I started running, I was 49, weighed 100 kg (BMI: 32.7) and had no prior experience of running or taking part in sports. On top of that, I also suffered from hip, back and ankle pain due to my ankylosing spondylitis.
Here are some tips based on my running journey:
1. Sleep well (7+ hours): Good sleep is a must for a runner,
2. Mornings are better for running: Air is fresher, temperature is cooler, and there is lesser traffic on roads. After a night's rest, body is also in a better frame to run,
3. Have early dinner (as early as your work schedule permits),
4. Running in overnight fasted state could help in weight and fat loss,
5. Take proper care of diet too. Reduce carbs, and increase proteins & healthy fats. There is no need to consume excess calories, just because you are running (it is easy to miscalculate and overeat),
6. Start slow. Walking, then walking+ running, then moderate-paced running,
7. Running pace should be adjusted according to heart rate. Try to achieve a target average HR of 180 minus age, while running.
8. For health purposes, 5 km per day (25 km per week) is enough.
9. Those who wish to run longer distances should do so after proper training. For participating in half marathons, aim for a weekly mileage of 40+ km,
10. Increase your pace and mileage gradually, as rapid increase can predispose to "shin splints",
11. It is always good to get a few investigations done prior to starting running: Hemoglobin, blood sugar, lipid profile, Blood pressure, vitamin B12, Vitamin D, ECG, and Echocardiogram.
12. If you are suffering from any disease or if any of the above tests are abnormal, consult a physician,
13. Running can be started at any age, however, people aged 50 or above should get a clearance from physician,
14. Do not run, if you are unwell (such as fever or flu). Give 3-5 days time to feel better and for recovery,
15. Do not run if you have pain in knee, ankle, heel, etc. Get evaluated and give adequate time for any injury to heal.
16. Do not forget strength training. It is important to devote 2-3 days per week to strength training,
17. Give yourself rest on one day (per week),
18. It is better to avoid competing with another runner; however, you could aim to get better over time (so the competition should be with self),
19. Don't lose heart if you can't run 10 k or half marathons. Even one mile (1.6 km) run a day is associated with health-related benefits,
20. Finally, don't lose heart if you can't run due to knee pain or any other issues. Walking is also good, and results in many health-related benefits.
(Disclaimer: These are general observations based on my personal experience, and may not be suitable for everyone. Please consult your physician and fitness trainer before starting running).
