@riccytwice because he has the same tone across all 4 languages? meanwhile pearl has 1 specific dub that has a completely different tone.. idk if the voice director had original references to the CN dub or not while recording, but EN pearl is way too far off course from the other dubs imho

@MegeraPlusSize @phaireneyapping now that i take a listen to more clips of her EN, yeah she has a flirty tone to whoever she talks to. so i guess it's not just that specific scene that's the issue, but the whole voice directing for pearl was completely off. thanks for the insight😁hope she redo all of the lines

@phaireneyapping and no, i wouldn't approve of this if this was mlm/wlw. i think voice dubbing should stay consistent throughout any language, because different takes could lead to different stories being told, as what we are seeing here with pearl's character, which is why it's not an easy job

@phaireneyapping the hate is blown out of proportions, but i do think the irk people have towards the EN VA's professionalism still stands. idk why hoyo approves this approach when it sounds completely off, so i think it's both bad directing and bad recording takes that should've been redone imho

OP says "longer than topaz, even longer than kafka" meaning kafka is the longer duration of the two. kafka was 1.2, black swan was 2.0, so that's a 4 patches difference between them, so the topaz wait would have to be SHORTER than 4 patches
