$RMS Remote Monitored Systems says Gyrometric business well positioned to meet challenges of proposed expansion of UK offshore wind turbine capacity https://t.co/zyislNnmIz via @proactive_UK @RMS_plc#RMS
Gyrometric Systems has successfully demonstrated proof of concept for a new single sensor torsional vibration monitor (TVM). Being digital, this device is more accurate than anything else currently available. See the link in the comments for more details. #RMS
The GyroMetric technology began as a research project at Nottingham Trent University to solve measurement problems on rotating shafts.
The result is world leading technology which digitally and continuously measures rotating machinery parameters to a high degree of accuracy.
Tried, tested, and approved.
Our systems have now been installed in some of the most demanding applications imaginable such as Tugs and Cruise Liners. Reliability and consistency are proven, and it has been tested to the highest standards of International classification. #RMS
Our user interface will provide as much or as little data as you require, from a simple traffic light alarms beside the equipment, to performance graphs accessed remotely in real time. Our IME will help you determine when to repair or maintain, eliminating costly breakdowns.
The costs of a breakdown in any drive system can quickly accumulate. Therefore, the superior protection afforded to high cost capital equipment by a GyroMetric system, compared to an analogue alternative, makes it a sound investment.
Data is collected from a shaft using the Gyrometric IME and can advise on pre-emptive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, and improving efficiency of equipment. If safe thresholds are breached then automatic shutdown can be initiated.
Our systems can be configured to send data via satellite to engineers at GyroMetric who can analyse the performance data through trends. Reports can then be sent to operators showing the status of the equipment, and warnings of developing faults before they become critical.
ADVANCED RELIABILITY - Avoiding costly breakdowns by precision performance analysis.
ADVANCED ACCURACY - Our sensors measure to within 0.1 microns at up to 20,000rpm.
ADVANCED PERFORMANCE - Digital tech means no moving parts, stability, and self-calibration.
The Gyrometric measurement and analysis system can be fitted to nearly all equipment using rotating shafts. The most obvious applications of this are in the following industries: Marine, Energy, Manufacturing and Engineering
We've been working hard during the pandemic!
Here's another 10 units which were ordered and manufactured during the lockdown, now on their way to customers.
