Ok, first off, a Tiger…swimming in the ocean?
Tigers don’t even like water.
If you placed it near a river, or some sort of fresh water source, that’d make sense.
But you find yourself in the ocean, a 20 ft wave, I’m assuming its off the coast of South Africa, coming up against a full, grown, 800 lb tuna with his 20 or 30 friends.
You lose that battle. you lose that battle nine times out of ten.
You don’t see neighborhoods like this anymore because most young parents don’t own homes. Less than 5% of mortgage holders are under 30 in major metros, and the average homeowner is over 50.
That’s why most neighborhoods or suburbs feel empty, they’re owned by older people whose kids are grown, while younger families are renting apartments & priced out of the communities.
Willie Fritz's University of Houston team receives 34 votes in the new AP College Football Top 25 poll, placing the Cougars fourth among the non-ranked vote getters. USC, Utah and Tulane are ahead of UH in teams just outside the Top 25. Arizona State, UH's opponent on Saturday night, is 24th in the just released poll after its upset of Texas Tech.
Yesterday, I adopted the oldest, sickest, most broken dog in the shelter. I’ll never forget the look in his eyes. When I walked up to his cage, he didn’t even look up—he was used to being ignored. Curled up in the corner, he had accepted his fate. The volunteers kept asking me, “Are you sure about this one? Are you sure?” Without hesitation, I said, “YES! This is my dog.” When the cage was opened, three other animals fell out, but I went straight to him. Suddenly, he looked up at me as if he were seeing an angel. I wrapped him in my arms and whispered, “You’re going to be happy again.” He fell asleep in my lap—perhaps the first peaceful sleep he’d ever known.
Give them a chance. Give them love. They need us.
Around 15 years ago we were the laughing stock of the MLB, I never imagined anything close to a run like this
Despite it ending, I can proudly say I never took it for granted.
Thank you for what was probably the best run any MLB team will ever have in our lifetime @Astros
Jake Meyers, who was supposed to be back in the starting lineup after missing two games with a minor calf injury, suffers an injury right before the game started and had to be helped off the field. The Astros continue to be hit by injuries.
The Cavs won the lotto immediately after LeBron left.
The Pelicans won the lotto immediately after the CP3 trade.
The Pelicans won the lotto again immediately after the AD trade.
The Mavs win it immediately after the Luka trade.
You can’t convince me it’s not rigged.
