3- health care is not analogous to a regular market where revenue is increased by increased goods and services.

Insurers revenues DECREASE when their policy holders receive health care.

Which means to increase profits, insurers work hard to minimize the $$$ they pay on claims.

2- insurers continue to cherry pick patients in order to maximize profits.

Under a public option, insurers will be incentivized to design their networks in such a way that excludes costly patients, pushing them onto the public plan.

1- a public option ignores one of the biggest costs in health care, the fragmentation of having multiple payers.

#MedicareForAll would slash billing-related admin health care spending from $1.07 trillion to $503 billion. Per YEAR.

No other plan would do this.
