Like an utter fool I sat on the floor of the 14th floor of the Cathedral for three hours proofreading my thesis and my back is FEELING IT right now

I never thought about the past tense of “highlight” before but my adviser said “highlit” earlier today and I can’t stop thinking about it

I’ve gone through the ritual of putting on makeup TWICE in the past week, for my thesis defense and for my lit mag’s release party, and I still don’t understand how or why someone figured out that you can put eyeliner on your waterline
