🧨 EXCL: Understand #MUFC have opened talks with Lewis Hall’s camp over a potential move from #NUFC
Terms under discussion with player keen on move - however no contact with #NUFC yet.
Nothing advanced yet - but one to keep an eye on.
United will take their usual 4 weeks to complete Santos deal and watch someone else hijack the deal with bigger wage/fee. We move to next target as we wouldn't pay silly money! #MUFC

🇵🇰🇪🇺 Everyone used to point at Pakistan as the problem. Now they're flying there to ask for help.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas landed in Islamabad and credited Pakistan with stopping a full-blown war on multiple occasions.
She's pushing for a concrete EU role in whatever comes next, with a 10-year diplomatic window on the table to lock in the ceasefire.
Pakistan spent years being written off as a regional destabiliser. Kallas just called it a peacemaker.

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts between the U.S. and Iran have helped prevent a return to full-blown war.
The EU is ready to contribute to a sustainable and peaceful resolution.
We bring economic leverage, hard-won nuclear expertise, longstanding relationships with Gulf partners, and direct engagement with Iran itself.
My press remarks with @MIshaqDar50 in Islamabad ↓
Pakistan is a major regional power and an important partner for the EU.
Today in Islamabad, I met with Prime Minister @CMShehbaz and Deputy PM and Foreign Minister @MIshaqDar50 for talks on further strengthening EU–Pakistan ties. I also met Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir in the Army HQ in Rawalpindi.
I commended Pakistan for its key role in facilitating US-Iran talks.
The EU is Pakistan's largest export destination and Pakistan is the world's leading beneficiary of EU trade preferences, the GSP+.

🚨⚡🇵🇰 Lt Gen Nauman Zakaria's statement regarding the establishment of Pakistan's Rocket Force, which is completely and utterly different from the country's nuclear arsenal. These remarks were made during the Shangri-La summit of 2026, which was hosted just a few days ago.
In times of war defined by uncertainty and diplomatic disarray the definitive assessments often prove wrong.
Yet, occasionally a simplistic evaluation of prevalent environment and visualisation of what can unfold satisfying interests of all stakeholders proves credible and worth an acknowledgment. Many analysts believe China played a quiet but dominant role in the ceasefire diplomacy and later was the main actor that was incubating behind the scenes, what increasingly appears a regionally backed MOU between Iran and US .
The tendency in our region is to always look for a single but dominent player, a hidden hand, or a master stroke from somewhere that bears signatures on the final outcome. Truth is often unpretentious at the core, irrespective of the complexities surrounding it. Nation states do not always act out of friendship, ethics , ideological leanings or sentiment. They primarily act in the pursuit of own interests. If China encouraged reliance on diplomacy and restraint, or influenced outcomes towards that direction ; it was because war in the gulf region not only undermines regional stability but seriously hampers Chinese trade and energy flows.
It will be wrong to assume that China or Russia fully controlled post cease fire events. Diplomacy often works through visible and invisible multiple processes : one state creates an opening capitalising on trust of all parties , another leverages its power potentials to craft assurances, another shapes opinions at legal forums and yet another takes responsibility for handing unforeseen costs. In such a setting, Pakistan did not rely on theatrics, nor on sloganeering for internal dynamics, but in access, credibility, and relevance when it mattered the most while handling these precious assets with wisdom and maturity all along . Pakistan distinguished itself with the capacity for speaking to all sides with what can be termed as strategic convenience without taking sides, overindulgence with one or over reliance on the other. Not to forget, Pakistan’s ability to maintain secrecy all along, and not giving up even when all efforts appeared reaching a dead end have earned it unprecedented repute, globally . Another remarkable achievement for Pakistan has been the cohesiveness and synergy created by the Trio in the lines of effort by MoFA, PMO and GHQ - a rare experience in the evolution of our statecraft .
An understanding between Iran and US is now a possibility only few days away. It won’t have Pakistan’s stamp only on the door opening but a significant contribution in all phases thereafter. Should we now be very loud in claiming what is being acknowledged world over ? Perhaps , No . It is time for initiation of a deliberate process for strategising this moment of relevance transitioning into an enduring catalyst for Pakistan’s long term interests .
India & Pakistan need to talk for two reasons: the US wants India & Pakistan to engage with one other. And the two sides post Sindoor need to talk to ensure that (with no bilateral crisis management system in place) things do not get out of control.
There is perhaps also a need to get Pakistan's perspective on bilateral talks. There shall be no better person than Pakistan's army chief - if his views on this critical subject were available.
I will do a video today to explain the two reasons listed above for bilateral talks!
Recent statement of Indian Army Chief threatening Pakistan reflects , deliberate, aggressive , hyperactive and revisionist Pakistan specific foreign policy option of his country . Contrary to Indian grand strategic misconceptions,
Pakistan has no plans to undo India politically or militarily. All it aims for is just solution of historical disputes.
It is time for Indian leadership to understand ; you can not wish away 5th most populous country on the planet that occupies one of the most important geo-strategic locations, is regionally and globally positively relevant, has strong armed forces and is a nuclear power. It will always give you a bloody nose when subjected to unilateralism and unprovoked aggression .
Militarily, India will never be in a position to dictate in South Asia .
1.75 billion people of South Asia will have better future if Indian politico - military leadership resists traditional behavioural patterns of rising powers marked by hubris, ambitious policy options and underestimation of opponent .
