The simplicity of the gospel is missed by many. The gospel being the death for our sins, burial, and resurrection of Jesus is not disputed. However our response to the gospel is heavily disputed. Some will say it’s some combination of faith and works/sacrament etc.
Faith is taking God at His Word. So when He says whosoever believes on me shall not perish but have everlasting life.
This is what faith looks like in the context of all this: Do you believe that Jesus died in your place, satisfying God’s wrath and justice concerning your sins?
Now do you believe if you asked Jesus to forgive you, do you believe He would?
Then here is the promise of God, let faith take hold:
Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
You have not because you ask not. If you believe, ask it of Him!
@pnwguerrilla The pendulum will swing back and we will be designated as terrorist before long. Antifa is worthy of the labeling, but this won’t end like everyone thinks it will.
This is what the doctrine of immanency does. Makes fools out of us. What’s bad is that you may believe she is crazy, but because you believe in the doctrine of immanency, you can’t dismiss her because she may be right.
Jesus is not coming back today, this month, let alone year.
From NY POSTcast: A South African pastor recently claimed that Jesus could be making a return on September 23, with the Feast of Trumpets ringing in the Rapture and Judgment Day. Subscribe here: https://t.co/J1oItwxDCO
