The Library of Congress gets a copy of every book published in the United States, print or digital. It's part of how Copyright is established. It is a RESEARCH library, not one where kids go to check out books.
This project is interesting conceptually but inherently limited by the process of filmmaking. If you were going to really do this right Paul would be a romcom, John would be a psychological dramedy, George would be a surrealist meditation on faith, and Ringo would be Muppets
The Oscar-winning films in the six major above-the-line categories as well as Animated Feature, International Feature, and Documentary Feature were all financed independently, outside the major studio system. I believe this is the first time this has happened.
