MAJOR BREAKING - New ATIP documents obtained by CBC show panic in the department of finance
as the Alberta Referendum nears
page 16 shows that Alberta contributes $18B to Canada MORE than it takes
and that it contributes 31% of EXPORTS, with only 12% of the population.
Also, on per capita basis, Alberta residents contribute the most to Federal coffers.
Alberta, you are in charge here, they are FREAKING OUT. Canada needs YOU, you dont need THEM!

IN RESPONSE TO THE LIES TOLD BY THE GLOBE AND MAIL I OFFER THE FOLLOWING RESPONSE
It is a complete lie that we offered the US anything when we visited Washington on behalf of Albertans in favour of Alberta Independence.
We were private citizens. We had no government mandate to offer anything. We only went to Washington to express the aspirations of hundreds of thousands of Albertans for a free and independent Alberta and to gauge US support for such a project.
We were gratified by the expressions of enthusiasm by US officials and the fact that Citizens of Alberta receive a far warmer welcome in Washington than we would ever receive in Ottawa.
Mark Carney PROMISED to only buy Canadian November 25th 2025.
WHAT HAPPENED?
LNG Canada will use Chinese steel on the $33 Billion expansion project in BC.
WHERE ARE ALL THE ELBOZOS TODAY?
Nenshiβs big mouth cost nearly $300,000.
He compared Cal Wenzel to The Godfather. Wenzel sued for $6 million. Nenshi retracted and apologized in 2015.
The city covered the lawyers. Donors paid it back in 2017. Nenshi chipped in about $17,000.
Imagine needing a fundraising committee to clean up after your own comments.
Thatβs the judgment weβre supposed to trust?

LIBERAL FAILURE
Theyβve made Canada so toxic for investments nobodyβs stepping up to fund the oil pipeline
This country is un-investable under the headship of Mark Carney.
We won?
* not one oil company has signed on
* not one dollar of private investment
* no route finalized
* Indian bands say theyβll sue
* Enron-style carbon payments
* tied to $30B in carbon capture taxes
Who on earth do you work for these days?
STATEMENT FROM LET ALBERTA DECIDE CO-LEAD KEITH WILSON, K.C.
Albertans should welcome any serious effort to get our energy to world markets. But with the October 19 referendum only weeks away, they are also entitled to ask some hard questions about todayβs Pacific Link announcement.
The first is: why now?
Alberta has been seeking tidewater access for decades. This new pipeline was formally referred to the Major Projects Office on July 2. Yet the major announcement declaring it a project of national interest arrives immediately before Albertans make an important decision about their future constitutional relationship with Ottawa.
That timing deserves scrutiny. Its Ottawa playing politics to get Albertans to forget about decades of mistreatment and how Canada does not work for Alberta.
Albertans should also look carefully at what was actually announced. This is not yet a fully approved, financed or construction-ready pipeline. The current estimated cost is between $35 billion and $44 billion. Taxpayers are now on the hook for the overwhelming majority of the initial ownership interest, while major questions remain about final financing, new BC tolls on Alberta oil, shipper commitments and the ultimate cost to taxpayers.
The pipeline comes with many strings attached imposed by Ottawa. The $20-30 billion Pathways carbon-capture project will be another hit on taxpayers.
This brings the combined cost to taxpayers of over $70 billion which is the same amount as the total budget for the Alberta Government including health care, education, and social programs.
Todayβs announcement is significant and I hope the pipeline ultimately gets built.
But Albertans should judge it on the facts, not the timing of a press conference. Does Canada still work for Alberta or can Alberta do better? Thatβs the question that will be decided on October 19.
Serious change is needed in the constitutional relationship so that the Alberta Government does not have to spend decades of effort and billions in taxpayer dollars just to get a new pipeline.
The RCMP were fine with arresting kids skating outside during covid, but not ok to investigate a government who may have stolen $34 million. All police including the RCMP have lost all trust and credibility.
π¨BREAKING
The federal NDP and Avi Lewis @avilewis just released a statement opposing the new pacific link pipeline and demanding it be halted. They oppose Alberta's Pacific Link pipeline and they will do everything in their power to kill it.
Understand what this means... This would kill 140,000 jobs. Stop tens of billions in new wealth for Albertans to build things like hospitals and schools. Lost jobs and lower paycheques for Alberta families.
Today I am calling on Naheed Nenshi @nenshi to do what he should have done a long time ago. Cut ties with his boss, Avi Lewis and the federal NDP. Officially, formally, in writing today. A clean break, right down to the name of their party.
Not doing so tells Albertans all they need to know about where the NDP stands on Alberta energyβ¦ which is βleave it in the groundβ.
If this is your version of Democracy, you are whatβs wrong with society today!
Imagine thinking you did something by ruining someone elseβs property!
Eighteen days before Albertans vote on separation, Mark Carney says the Pacific Link pipeline proves "Canada's working". Funny timing for Ottawa to finally find a pipeline it likes.
