Philippians 3:3,9 ->
Legalism is trusting in what you can do for God instead of trusting in what Jesus has already done for you.
It’s following a list of rules and regulations to prove yourself worthy, and it’s a trap that keeps you from relaxing in God’s grace.
The way you earn the love of God is this: You don’t.
It’s not about your performance; it’s about his pardon.
Every morning, remind yourself of God’s grace.
Remember to be thankful that because of what Jesus did, we are completely forgiven.
Realizing that there is nothing you can do to make God love you more is one of the most liberating feelings in the world and a key to happiness.

Psalm 37:7 /
1 Thessalonians 5:17 /
James 4:8 ->
At some point, we all have tried to have a daily quiet time with God and have not been successful.
We are all soooo busy.
And because of that, we end up letting other people or other things tell us what God is saying.
When that happens, our spiritual experiences become second-hand.
You wouldn’t leave other aspects of your life — vacation, romance, eating – strictly up to others' opinions, would you?
When God asks for your attention, he doesn’t want you to send a substitute.
He invites you into His splendor.
He invites you to feel the touch of His hand.
He invites you to feast at His table.
He wants to spend time with you.
Put in the effort.
Making time with God can be the highlight of your day.

Romans 6:6 ->
The resurrection changed everything.
When Jesus Christ rose, He didn't just defeat death —He broke sin's dominion over your life.
This doesn't mean you'll never struggle, but it does mean sin no longer has the final word.
The same power that raised Jesus from the grave now lives in you.
Today, identify one area in your life where you feel defeated by sin.
Remember: you are dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Walk in that freedom, not by your strength, but by His resurrection power dwelling within you.

Congrats to these three members of the Class of 2026. Their Dads are former assistant coaches for Ron, and they are forever part of our family. The fact they all graduated the same year is a unique circumstance. Can’t wait to see their great futures…Love you all.❤️🎓🙌🏼
1 Thessalonians 1:6 ->
Regardless of cultural differences, location or worship style, genuine Christians share a common language, love for one another and adoration for Jesus.
When God’s Word in your life takes root, it produces Christ-like character.
You begin reflecting His patience, kindness, humility and love.
People will notice the change.
Ask yourself today … do others recognize Christ in me?

The ability to perfectly draw the logos of your favorite bands and rock groups on paper bags ... is a lost art form and one of the main reasons for the demise of our society.
I said what I said.
Psalm 119:16, 35 ->
You’ll struggle to hold tightly to God’s Word if you’re not doing all the important steps of Bible study.
Do you want to be happy?
Following God’s principles will produce happiness.
You remember those principles by hearing them, reading them, studying them, memorizing them, meditating on them, and then applying them to your life.
If you’ve been looking for happiness in all the wrong places … turn around.
The Lord says happiness is found in the path of his commands.

I met Mr. Eastwood during the world premier of Space Cowboys, at a theatre near the @NASAJohnson. It was indeed an honor. He took us to dinner after, when I was able to ask why they didn't use the "Vomit Comet" to film their zero-g scenes. He said, "Clayton, we didn't have that kind of budget!" True words, from a King of the movie world.
Some classic Chevy Chase lines from Fletch, which is 41 today.
Under the laughs, it’s a tight, well-built detective story: drug trafficking, murder-for-hire, and a film-noir backbone; just brighter, with punchy one-liners.
Might rent it tonight. I’ll charge it to the Underhills.
Psalm 5:3 / 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ->
When you awake each morning, give that day to the Lord.
Before you face everything else … face the Father and get each day off to the best start.
During the day, give God those little waiting moments. Spend time with Him during the day in the in-between of your busy.
Talk to Him.
Ask Him questions or for guidance. Give Him thanks. Connect all day long and watch how your day moves.
Give God the final thoughts of the day. Conclude the day as you began it: talking to the Lord.
If you fall asleep as you pray … don’t worry.
What better place to end each day than in the arms of your Father.

Mark 4:37-39 ->
Storms can pop up in our lives suddenly.
They can stop us in our tracks, disrupt our plans, and make us question whether moving forward is worth it.
When that happens, don’t give in to frustration or fear.
Remember that Jesus calmed the storm while the disciples were in the boat with Him.
He can quiet the storms in our lives too.

Acts 7:9-10 ->
When you have God’s presence, it doesn’t mean He will keep bad or hard things from happening to you.
It means He is going to bring you through it.
There is always something to learn in the setbacks of life.

Matthew 5:6 ->
Spiritual growth, like athletic growth, requires purposeful practice.
It requires humility, reflection and a willingness to recognize when we are doing something incorrectly.
We will make mistakes, but growth happens when we acknowledge them, repent and allow God to correct and shape us.
When we raise our standards, pursue excellence with the right heart, and practice with intention, we grow stronger.
Walking in His ways becomes more natural, discipline becomes more meaningful, and improvement follows.
