That’s my #BigGardenBirdWatch for 2026 - 4 Blue Tits, 4 pigeons, 3 Goldfinches, 2 each of Chaffinch, Coal Tit, Great Tit & Blackbird, and 1 each of Wood Pigeon, Robin & LTT. A bit disappointed with the Goldfinches because I had at least 8 of them in the garden earlier this week!
Better late than never! Hogweed, dandelion, male & female hazel catkins, buttercups, wood avens, lesser celandine, feverfew, smooth sow-thistle, tansy and hedge mustard all seen in Hull today. Forsythia, bramble, musk mallow and snowdrops also in flower.

I’ve been writing a monthly wildlife report for my local cemetery group for a few years now. Here’s my latest one - cemeteries are great places for wildlife! https://t.co/H59OL0IWgS
@Gmackematix It's happened before - Led Zeppelin's song "Houses of the Holy" wasn't on their album of the same name. It was on "Physical Graffiti". There was another example too which I can't remember. #TOTP
Mejiro or Japanese White-eye in Yokohama a few days ago. The parks in this city are surprisingly good for birdwatching, although I suspect the 10 different species I saw in Yokohama Park were just common ones seen throughout the country.

Give the petition a signature for Queen's Dr. Brian May, would you? 🎸
He's put a decade's work into this!

My highlights of 2024 - better late than never! What a year it’s been, with some things that were not even on my radar this time last year! I wonder what 2025 will bring?
Great show by Steve @HackettOfficial and his brilliant band at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall tonight. Plus a lovely surprise - Steve’s brother John made a guest appearance to play flute for a couple of songs. Another wonderful night!
