Not having enough knowledge to comment on that, but with that much money, still incapable of cleaning up the streets in SF and LA, says a lot about how badly the government is functioning.
Besides the human wastes, the road conditions are so bad that the scooters can shake like crazy. Just look at the clean, well-maintained streets in Shanghai... the CA governments from state level to city level are simply not functioning.
Regardless of weath tax being right or wrong, the government doesn't have receipts showing they're making good use of tax money.
With all that money, SF has 3rd world road conditions, and those druggie human wastes polluting streets, even 3rd world doesn't have those.
Actually I'm super curious where SF city is using all those tax money?? When kids can see human wastes injecting drugs on the streets, you don't have your priority straight!
So sad for the golden state.
California state government spending on waste & fraud will keep increasing until the GOLDEN STATE has COOKED all the GOLDEN GEESE. Mark my words.
This has always been inevitable and is not due to Newsom or any individual. The Democratic Party is utterly controlled by the unions and the trial lawyers and California is a one-party state.
Any politician nominally “in charge” of California has two choices:
1. Stop sending crazy money to the public sector unions and law firms.
2. Sacrifice the most productive citizens to pay the graft.
They will always pick the second choice, because they will lose their primary if they pick the first.
Only bankruptcy will force a righting of the state, but, between now and then, they will feast on the golden geese who were laying the golden eggs.
Google Maps should mark the drug zombies infested areas in SF as biohazard ☣️ so people know don’t go.
Several blocks on 6th street and near the 6th and Market are very dangerous. But Google Maps still recommends routes through that area for walking with no warning. RIDICULOUS.
It won’t work unless Europe deploys the troops. But they don’t have the balls. The whole strategy of being the US’s lapdog has been holding back Europe and is now falling apart.
@chrisgrayson@WhaleInsider “domestic”, yes that domestic is China which happens to be Tesla’s biggest market too. Which country matters a lot when it comes to “domestic”.
@davenewworld_2 It’s unfair that Tesla can sell in China, while BYD is banned in the US. Same goes to iPhone and Huawei. I don’t know why Xi put up with this shit.
@josephdelong@YIMBYLAND The process of getting to airport, checkpoints etc is much longer than HSR. HSR has checkpoints too but overall process is much faster and cheaper.
@070guy@ChineseEmbinUS I mean that flag WAS China’s flag before 1949. But the ROC government was defeated in the civil war and got exiled to Taiwan. It’s the old China. We’re not going back.
🚨🚨NYC HAPPENING NOW🚨🚨
HUGE lines for the official opening of the second ever MIXUE location in NYC 🧋
Located in Koreatown 32nd Street is the second ever MIXUE location in NYC.
Mixue Bingcheng is a Chinese 🇳ice cream and tea franchise 🧋that has recently become the WORLDS LARGEST food-service chain by store count, surpassing giants like McDonald’s $MCD and Starbucks $SBUX ☕️
I’ve been noticing a STRONG trend towards AFFORDABILITY!
Mixue's core identity is affordability!
💸While other bubble tea brands might charge $5.00–$7.00 for a drink, Mixue focuses on a value-first model:
Ice cream🍦$1.19
Bubble tea🧋$3.99
Fresh Lemonade 🍋 $2.00
HOW IS IT SO CHEAP??!?!
✅Vertical Integration:
📍 In-house Production: Unlike many franchises that buy ingredients from third parties, Mixue owns its own factories, warehouses, and logistics networks.
📍 Mixue makes most of its money by selling raw materials (syrups, powders, packaging, and even straws) to its 50,000+ franchisees, rather than just taking a cut of sales.
I believe these affordable Chinese brands will CRUSH IT in major cities like NYC, LA, Chicago 🤯
Do you think Mixue will give American 🇺🇸 brands a run for its money? 💴
