Why Medicaid expansion became a surprisingly popular healthcare solution.
@MargaridaJorg17@HCAN explains in the full #CareTalk ep: https://t.co/PP3UH91V94
If you got a tax refund this year, no you didn't.
Because tariffs cost your family an extra $1,000 last year.
Healthcare premiums are tripling.
Gas prices are skyrocketing.
Rent, childcare, groceries—all more expensive.
Don't let them satiate you with a small refund, folks.
Pick a side.
➡️Patients struggling to afford care?
➡️Or corporations making billions by charging more?
We know where politicians SHOULD stand.
Protect Medicaid.
Strengthen Medicare.
Negotiate lower prices.
Stop corporate price gouging.
Healthcare isn’t unaffordable by accident.
Corporations set prices.
Corporations raise prices.
Corporations pocket profits.
And we get the bill.
We hear a lot of talk about “affordability.”
The question is: Are politicians willing to take on corporate price gouging?
Republicans cut Medicaid.
Corporations got tax breaks.
10 million people have lost coverage.
Hospitals and clinics are closing.
Families are without care.
It's time Congress takes on corporate price gouging.
We need lower prices. And to strengthen #Medicaid and #Medicare.
#Medicaid and #Medicare have shown us that our government can make health care more affordable for over 61 years.
We need to build on that progress. Not tear it down.
That means protecting coverage and taking on the corporate price gouging driving up the cost of care.
This is the wrong way:
Cut Medicaid.
Kick millions off coverage.
Threaten hospitals and nursing homes.
Give tax breaks to the wealthy.
Here’s the right way:
Restore coverage.
Lower prices.
Take on corporate greed.
Build on Medicaid and Medicare.
Forward. Not backward.
Health care costs too much because corporations charge too much.
Insurance giants.
Drug corporations.
Wall Street investors.
They have too much power to raise prices and put profits ahead of patients.
It's time for Congress to step in and fight for lower prices.
Healthcare should be a right. Our system is wrong. One Nation, Overcharged is here! Together, we’re demanding a healthcare system that works for everyone. Are you with us? Join the fight to get healthcare right. 💪
Bruce Springsteen (though we love him) Tom Kean Jr., NJ billionaires and the ultra-wealthy are not paying their fair share of taxes on Tax Day. This is thanks to a vote from Tom Kean Jr. on the big ugly bill of last year. Read our press statement here: https://t.co/Tkoz42lazJ

But Republicans want you to think someone working 40 hours a week for poverty wages, relying on SNAP and Medicaid to survive, is the problem.
