As Christians we must realize that we are faced with a deadly enemy and that 'we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against wicked spirits in the heavenly places'
In that situation we must make sure we are clad from head to foot in the armour described in (Eph 6:13-16)
"As for us we cast anchor in haven of the Word of God. Here is our peace, our strength, our life, our motive, our hope, our happiness. God's word is our ultimatum. Here we have it!"
The nature of Christian warfare, considering the enemy, is unavoidable. The devil is not an enemy with whom one can negotiate. The Christian has no safety except drawing his strength in his Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ.
Join us this Sunday, as we go through this series.
The Christian life is a combat. Faced by a relentless, malicious, envious and wicked enemy, Christians must be prepared to face the enemy boldly.
Join us for this at HCBC.
Beloved children of God, make every effort to progress in sanctification.
"Put-off" the deeds of the flesh & "Put-on" God-honoring habits.
Look to Christ in faith, our all-sufficient mediator, He indeed grants what He commands.
Tommorrow we will be talking about one other very crucial element in Apologetics and that is the area of cults.
What are cults? How do we identify them? What is the Christian response?
Join us for more of this
That is our goal, our desire to be perfect, to be holy. To be like Jesus Christ. To be like our God.
Robert M'Cheyne writes, "when this passing world is done, I look forward to the time when I'll see You as You really are, and love you with unsinning heart"
The psalmist writes "Blessed are those who do no wrong, but walk in His ways!" (Psa 119:3).
Our Lord Jesus Christ commands "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" (Matt 5:48).
God the Father commands, "Be holy because I Am holy" (1Pt 1:16).
Jesus declared, " The ruler of this world will be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself" (John 12:31-32).
Join us as we proclaim our resurrected Savior to all men.
At the heart of a restless and discontent spirit lies the sin of unbelief. Discontentment exposes a heart that doesnโt trust Godโs providences for what we donโt have yet and a lack of gratitude for his merciful and gracious present provisions. https://t.co/Om9BgH78Rv
Singlehood, being the gift that it is, should also be seen as so. Society may demean single-hood but God values it. For some, it is God's will for them to remain single for whatever time for his own good purposes
