Thanks to Saint Xavier University for hosting ILMEA large group for the HCHS Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble. The student performances and guest clinics were amazing. To add some excitement, a few of us pushed a stalled car out of the way to kick things off.

The HCHS Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble had amazing performances and clinics at the Plainfield Invitational Concert Band Festival. Way to go Red Devil musicians!

All HCHS band alumni are invited to play with the Red Devil Pep Band or just hang out at the Boys Basketball Game against OPRF this Friday, January 9. We'll meet in the band room at 5:30 pm to practice before the 7:00 pm game. We can loan you an instrument too!

We packed a lot into 4 days: a clinic at Rutgers, a performance at The Intrepid, seeing The Outsiders, a meet and greet with Broadway stars, and of course, the Veteran’s Day Parade right up 5th Avenue! The kids did great thanks to some amazing chaperones!

After a few practices this week The Marching Red Devils had an awesome performance in Hinsdale’s 4th of July Parade and sounded great.

Wind Ensemble had a great performance of Godzilla Eats Las Vegas and Symphonic Overture at ILMEA Large Group and an amazing clinic with Dr. Lia Snead! She really pushed us out of our comfot zone. See it May 6 at Central. Thanks Karen Moffet and Todd Howell for joining us today!

It was a beautiful day to be on the Elmhurst University campus and the Hinsdale Central Concert Band had a great performance and clinic with Bryan Miller, Jim Stombres, and Brayer Teague! Thanks to Adam Kehl for organizing an amazing event.

Congratulations to the HCHS Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble who opened for the Pete Ellman Big Band at The Venue last night and Emmanuel Eden, Ms. Adduci, and Mr. Kurinsky, who got to sit in. Your performances were amazing!
