The Hillwood CC Agronomy Team is responsible for maintaining a 125 acre, 18-hole, par 72 Dick Wilson course. Bruce Hepner is our current architect of record.

@McLemore_Turf @THeckert On site 😳. We actually have a couple areas on the range floor we are elevating and extending the practice tee into a low area to the back of the tee. These area can handle most all of the material. Fairways alone we are removing about 8,000yds of material.

@jordangilmore63 TifTuf, 60 acres to Sod. Greens sprigged in Tifeagle. Closed Feb 19th with reopen on Labor Day. A few architectural changes. Mostly a regressing project. June 1st target sprig date.

Mark Langner and his Fraze mowing team are mobilizing this week and scheduled to start Monday the 11th. Fraze mowing is the process to remove 1.5 inches of material on 35 acres of fairways. 6 fwy shown in video.

@iborngenest Regrassing with TifTuf Bermuda. Fairways were sprayed out late last summer to remove common Bermuda. The 1.5” gets into the crown of any left over common. Taking ever step we can to create a mono stand.

Closed golf course calls for some much needed #irrigation work from the AIT, Irrigation Tech, and Superintendents. Identifying problems to make the transition to new irrigation heads much easier with little to no problems.

4green and 5 tee surrounds were stripped of old sod today. Turf quality will vastly improve along the back apron and green with key tree removals. The roots extending 12-14ft into the green.
