Gospel of the Day (Matthew 9,36-38.10,1-8)
At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd.
Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest."
Then he summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness.
The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus;
Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.
Jesus sent out these twelve after instructing them thus, "Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.
Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, make this proclamation: 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'"
Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give."

Proper planning prevents poor performance.
I’ll never forget Coach Fran’s saying, “Prepare for your opportunity or your opportunity will embarrass you.”
Proper planning is the key to success. Without a plan, you have no chance for success. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. You must be vision-minded. Having a vision helps you decide what steps to take and how to act. It gives you a clear, intentional target to hit. The great ones plan for everything. The plans are detailed and are just as important as the action. You must have your initial plan and adjustments to those plans for contingencies. Focus on what matters most. Lock in. Prepare meticulously. Outwork everyone. Execute the plan. Go be great!
From this square, I wish to address a clear message to those who take advantage of people’s desperation, to those who organize death routes, traffic in human beings, withhold documents, exploit workers, threaten women, deceive families, and turn the suffering of others into a business. Stop! Repent! (Mk 1:15) #ApostolicJourney

The aim should be to work collaboratively to make every school great.
Not to pit schools against each other.
So every parent can happily send their child to their local school.
