Losing out on a big deal can be sobering. Coming in second or third after spending months on diligence and analysis sucks. I always believe one or more of the following factors is at play: 🧵
You gotta love the bittersweet employee resignations. Just had a team member leave to open a ski-in/ski-out bed and breakfast in the rockies! Tough backfill, but great to see people achieving their life goals.

This is why net worth will never be my goal.
In Canada, insulin is $12 on average.
In Mexico, it's about $16.
Yet in the U.S., it's nearly $100 for the same lifesaving drug.
Same continent. Same drug. Wildly different prices.
Why? Corporate greed.
Today, the House will cap the price of insulin. The Senate must follow.
