Holmes Chapel Music Society opens its 50th Anniversary Season with the hugely gifted Magnard Ensemble, Wind Quintet, at 3pm on 2nd October at Clonter Opera Theatre, will you be there?

The Doric String Quartet, recognised as one of the leading quartets of its generation, performs at Holmes Chapel Music Society on 1st February. The Quartet plays works by Haydn, Sibelius, Britten and Beethoven.

Internationally acclaimed violinist Jennifer Pike @JenniferPikeVLN performs in Holmes Chapel on 11Jan. She includes Vaughan Williams’ beautiful Lark Ascending, which won her Classic FM’s Hall of Fame at Easter 2019. She will be accompanied by pianist Martin Roscoe @MartinRoscoe1.

On 7Dec Holmes Chapel Music Society welcomes the return of Apollo5 @TheApollo5, the international award-winning British vocal ensemble. The BBC says “A stunning, beautiful sound”. Apollo5 delights audiences with engaging performances.

On 23rd November Sveta & Slava @svetandslava the Cello and Piano Duo perform at Holmes Chapel Music Society at 8pm. The first half of the concert has works by Rachmaninoff and Debussy. However, intriguingly, the audience votes for the works to be performed in the second half.

Brilliant young Ukrainian pianist, Dinara Klinton, performs on Saturday at Holmes Chapel Music Society. BBC Music Magazine says “Klinton can find a complete world in a single quiet chord." She is playing works by works by Beethoven, Liszt, Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff.

The 48th season of professional music concerts begins next Saturday at Holmes Chapel Music Society with the outstanding Aronowitz Piano Trio (Piano, Violin and Cello). Two artists are breaking into their busy schedules in the USA to perform at this concert.

Next Saturday’s concert is by Outstanding Young Musicians from Sir John Deane’s College. Former student, Emily Leather from the Royal Opera House in London will accompany the students. The concert has always proved enormously popular and we expect Fiona Bruce MP to attend.
