Let's wrap up for today @RunningFalafel. If you want to write a summary of the doc I'll post in the FB group to see if we can help #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

Thanks a lot Matthew. Back on Facebook next time so there should be a few more of us! #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

Brilliant. What criteria shall we search for in terms of finding influencers? Who are you targeting? #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

Will you be targeting influencers to promote your web doc @RunningFalafel? Do you want to set us a challenge to help you find some? #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

They won't let me create a free account because I already pay for Pro. I'll try later on another computer and get back to you #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

This is a problem with many tools that offer a pro version. Let me just check if they have limited the features even more recently #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

They may have huge number of followers but if no-one is mentioning/RT'ing them they are not that influential #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

Another tip for establishing influence of a Twitter user, is to open a column in Tweetdeck to watch their mentions #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

Sorry, Tweetdeck automatically shortlinked that. You can search for keywords in Twitter bios using Followerwonk #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

You can also search for Twitter bios that contain the words "Blogger" and "Syria" for example, using http://t.co/rmy9RzQtoP #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

On SocialBro for example, you can search for Twitter users who talk about 'Refugees' & have a URL and the word 'blog' in their bio #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

I find searching for bloggers via social networks to be much more effective #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

There are number of similar blog search engines, such as http://t.co/AKkVEb6YzJ that do not seem to provide comprehensive lists #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

I find Technorati increasingly less useful too, Matthew, but it can be a good starting point for niche blogs. #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

#hcrchat RT @matplumb: I tried technorati but found the results odd. When I searched for "UNHCR" blogs it only offered a few results.

A tip I like is to add the site to your Feedly because when you do it shows the number of subscribers the site has. #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

But this is still not necessarily an indication of influence #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

An important skill is knowing how to establish the popularity of a site. Google helps by listing most popular sites first #hcrchat

[Learn and Connect @HCRChat]

Google is always a good place to start, especially using advanced search functions to filter by language and specify blogs only. #hcrchat

How would you find people who quoted in research article and other publications @runningfalafel? #hcrchat
