Our Boarding Home Detail, along with @hcfmo & @TexasHHSC, responded to an illegal boarding home where numerous adults & children were living.
In Harris County, it is illegal to operate a boarding home without a permit. Great collaboration to help protect vulnerable residents.
This week, our @HCSOTexas Community Problem Oriented Policing Unit hosted an in-person Community HUB meeting with the @HCSO_D1Patrol area.
The HUB brings together community service providers to help connect individuals with resources beyond traditional police services.
Great time at the @HCSOTexas Citizen’s Police Academy! Community members asked thoughtful questions about our division, mental health programs, & community-based initiatives. Trainings like this are a great way to connect, educate, & strengthen partnerships with the community.

One of the many roles of our Homeless Outreach Team is partnering with @hcfcd Flood Control to safely manage sensitive situations involving the unhoused in high-risk flooding areas. In this instance, HOT provided resources, & helped relocate individuals out of harm’s way.
