Shout out to @PerkinsHigh grounds crew for allowing us to “test drive” their friction sweeper on our track. It hasn’t looked this good since it was installed.
It may be spring break for the students at @huronschools but work continues in the district. The high school gym floor is getting its annual sanding and refinishing completed over break to maximize gym use in the school year and summer.
In case didn’t know…. @huronschools high school track team has been pretty successful the last few years. State winner signs are going up just in time for the first home meet of the season. Go Tigers!
@huronschools food service preps for lunch for the @huronrotary. They are having their meeting at HHS today. Visitors will get a great meal and have the opportunity to listen to presentations by our high school students.
I’m proud of @huronschools and the community for always supporting our students now matter where they are…athletic fields, in the classroom and even in our cafeterias. Sandi would be overjoyed to see this occurring.
Work is being done to the walkways at @huronschools Memorial Stadium. Visitors will notice safer walking areas when supporting our student athletes. Thank you Custom Concrete for another quality job.
Shout out to our tech and maintenance departments working together to get MMS kindness television up and running. It will be used for information sharing with students as well as allowing students and staff to recognize others in the building who have done a kind gesture/act.
It’s “spring” in Ohio. Opening day for our @HCSTigers softball today. It’s a balmy 35 degrees with a feels like of 19. Field is prepped. Game time temp will reach 37. Dress warm when you come out to support the team. Go Tigers!
@HCSTigers Matthew Ayers is assisting @huronschools maintenance department measure and reset the softball infield in preparation for Monday’s home opener. Thanks you Huron Boosters for supporting our athletes in resurfacing both ball fields. GO TIGERS!
On Friday, we got a chance to honor our Huron City Schools Support Staff. These are very important people in our district and sometimes do a lot of the "behind the scenes" jobs that are unseen to many. Please - when you see a support staff member, give them a thank you and a high-five!

Thank you to @cityofhuron plow crew as well as the county and state units. Their efforts allowed our buses to travel safely for the routes today getting our most precious cargo to/from school and home.
Congratulations to Jeff! He is part of a great department that supports each other and provides top tier service to our students and staff doing it safely and efficiently.
@huronschools high school choir group the Troubadours visited lunches today at Woodlands Elementary to bring some festive cheer to our young students. They were phenomenal.
Over Thanksgiving break @huronschools continued to improve some the inner workings of the Woodlands Elementary building by replacing three 55 year old pumps that run the heating system throughout the building. Everyone returned to a nice and cozy building on Monday.
It may have been a snow day for the students at @huronschools, but our maintenance department spent the morning unloading a trailer load of crates for the sheltered walkway to be installed in a few months at Woodlands Elementary.
