The sentence imposed on the perpetrator serves not only as a form of justice for the victim & her family but also as a powerful warning to all would-be offenders. It reiterates the collective commitment to ensuring the safety of children who are vulnerable members of society.
We commend the law enforcement agencies for their swift action in arresting the uncle responsible for the crime of raping his niece. This arrest marks a significant step towards justice for the victim & sends a clear message that such atrocious acts will not be tolerated.

Youth focal person from the @euinzim, Francisca Midzi, paid a visit to the YCA4SOTRA stand, where she engaged with inspiring youth-led initiatives from Gwanda and gained a deeper appreciation of their impactful work. The visit highlighted the creativity and innovation of young people driving sustainable solutions within their communities.
She particularly admired the unique products showcased by @HCYF2020 a Gwanda-based CBO under the #YCA4SoTra project. From stylish earrings crafted from juice bottle tops to elegant purses made from recycled milk containers, the display was a powerful reminder of how waste can be transformed into opportunity while promoting environmental sustainability.
