This Sunday, Household Cavalry troopers completed the Tel-el-Kebir Ride as part of their passing out.
The ride remains an important regimental tradition, marking the transition from training into service with the regiment.
On Sunday, personnel from the Household Cavalry took part in the 4 o'clock Parade.
The parade was inspected by the Chief of the Defence Staff, who met with personnel and observed the regiment's ceremonial standards.
Yesterday evening, personnel from the Household Cavalry took part in a mortar qualification exercise.
Throughout the qualification, personnel conducted a variety of drills including both indirect and direct firing. Alongside other exercises designed to improve effectiveness.
This week, the Household Cavalry and the 2nd Cavalry Regiment finished their rehearsals for Changing of the Guard.
These final rehearsals have ensured that the Australian Cavalry are fully prepared to take over their public duties alongside the Household Cavalry.
Earlier this afternoon, the Household Cavalry took part in a joint Mounted Drill with the Australian 2nd Cavalry Regiment! ︀︀
These kinds of joint events are a rare opportunity to train together and is something that in the upcoming weeks will be happening more regularly!
The Tank Commander's Battle Course has recently begun. Over the next few weeks candidates in the Household Cavalry will develop their leadership skills in the AJAX, preparing to command tank crews.

This evening, the Household Cavalry took part in the State Opening of Parliament, mounting the halls of Westminster for the first time since recommissioning. The occasion marked the Regiment’s return to one of its most prestigious ceremonial duties in support of the Sovereign.
This week, members of the Household Cavalry completed the Mortars Course. The course enables troopers to operate the 81mm mortar in combat across the globe, providing effective fire support to infantry soldiers on the battlefield.
This evening, the Household Cavalry completed their first Tel El Kebir Ride, showcasing the Regiment’s ceremonial excellence before His Majesty The King and The Duke of York.
Over the past month, Household Cavalry ITTC recruits have been preparing for the prestigious Tel El Kebir Ride, a parade honouring the Regiment’s rich history and welcoming newly graduated troopers into the Household Cavalry
Today, HCAV conducted Close Quarters Battle drills, focusing on clearing buildings and confined spaces, rapid room entry, and coordinated movement in close range environments.
Yesterday evening, the Household Cavalry attended the British Armed Forces inspection at BRNC Dartmouth. The Commanding Officer announced a variety of promotions, including a selection of new Lance Corporals. Well done to all of those promoted!
