@MkenWrites Thoroughly recommend this course - it's utterly brilliant with fantastic exercises and reference stories, Matt's wonderfully encouraging & constructive feedback, and the ability to work when & how you wish!
@sophielflynn I wonder if the one sentence but up to 50 words parameter has led some inexperienced pitchers like me to do this :-). Mine definitely would have read better in two sentences even though it was less than 40 words. Interesting learning experience anyway...
Earlier this week I completed @MKenWrites#WriteBeyondTheLightbulb “Colourful Characters” course! It was absolutely brilliant and I recommend Matt's courses to anyone looking to explore new writing skills and develop your craft.
@MkenWrites Matt, the course was superb with awesome materials and example stories, and you are a brilliant, encouraging and supportive teacher. Thank you!
@AmyJaneBeer@GdnCountryDiary I loved this article - thank you for writing it! I'm fascinated by Yews and the line, 'A being that feeds on history, eats time.' is glorious :-)
One of my favourite dictionary facts: the verb ‘go’ has always lacked a past tense based on itself. So we opted for the past tense of ‘wend’, as in ‘to wend one’s way’. Which means that instead of ‘I goed’, we say ‘I went’.
Congratulations to the winner and shortlisted writers - I look forward to reading the stories! I am still so thrilled to have reached the longlist for this 😊 #AmWriting#AmWritingFiction
