I’d expect the Switch 2 to follow in the Switch’s footsteps and probably outsell the PS consoles

Shouldn’t be surprising given the big difference in price.

But some things to note the chip shortages when the PS5 launched meant it was supply constrained and from polling from a number of sources there was actually more demand for the PS5 at launch than the PS4

In relation to the the Switch 2 outselling the PS5 I think it will but it might not be as open and shut as you think

The PS5 despite being 5 years old and yet to see a price reduction actually outsold the Switch 2 in recent months.

When GTA6 hit it will be interesting to see what happens

I’m sure you already understand this, but in case you don’t, it’s about the relative contribution from both.

If 50% of the reviews are from platform-aligned review sites, which may have a bias, this is going to have a much larger impact than if, say, 10% of reviews are.

It’s simple mathematics.

So yeah, there are PS-centric sites contributing to the Metacritic scores for the PS5 review score but far fewer relatively on the Xbox review score.

Brining it back to the original posts. The higher score on Xbox doesn’t reflect it runs better on Xbox; it’s just a result of the more popular platform getting the vast majority of reviews and the niche platform getting fewer, which are predominantly Xbox-centric

Try listening to a few of his podcasts, even his latest when he is heavily critical of Sony “Herman Hulst has to go”. He’s definitely not full of praise for him or Sony at the moment.

If the Xbox sycophants like yourself had done similar you might still have a console worth supporting instead of being left cheer leading a subscription service

Maybe you are having trouble following the logic here as you just can’t seem to differentiate fact from opinion and are mixing them together.

You keep making claims as if they are facts and without realising you can’t substantiate them.

The numbers are correct but your conclusion isn’t.

There is nothing to say a game taking 10 years to sell 10m is a failure or that not getting a sequel means that either.

Sony themselves have called it a success, see link below substantiating this claim 😉

You’re applying your own metrics of what Sony use to determine a success there bud

You don’t know what Sony’s standards are or what they class as a failure or not in terms of sales

Sales are not the primary metric of success to them, ROI or profitability are

You are trying to claim if a game doesn’t get a sequel it must be a failure in there eyes which isn’t necessarily true as it ignores other factors and context within the current market

If Bloodborne crossed 10m sales it was almost certainly successful (ie profitable) but current market conditions and Sony’s strategy seem to indicate they think they can make a better ROI investing in other areas. Apparently licensing services it seems 🙄

Again that doesn’t necessarily mean Bllodborne was a failure. It’s not a zero sum game

I think you or Logic may have mentioned this before, but it’s crystal clear that Jez’s “inside connections” are only ever leaking him positive news or spin for him to regurgitate. He thinks he’s getting a scoop as an Xbox insider when in reality he is really just an extension of the Xbox marketing team.

It’s the same shit all over again.

People will cry it’s not full RDNA5 because it doesn’t have all RDNA5 features, which are again likely to be listed as DX features.

Ignoring the fact it isn’t a DX box and doesn’t need all the DX features as it will have its own.

Not a hard concept to grasp. It would be like pointing out Mac OS is inferior to Windows because it doesn’t have all the features of Windows. 🙄

This increasingly small part of the market who have the lowest ARPU are increasingly the loudest on social media, demanding the big players cater to them.

They are next to irrelevant now, and it’s largely their own fault.
