For any health goal, I like to think about the three P’s:
Patience: change takes time, be patient.
Persistence: avoid the “what the heck” effect and keep moving forward.
Purpose: what’s your why? Without it, the first two are much harder to achieve.
Someone recently told me that if the diet isn’t a punishment then it must not work.
My response? Punishing yourself in a pursuit of health is missing the point.
Health is a state of well-being. Forced misery doesn’t get you there.
I’ve seen low carb diet folks bash cereal.
In fact, at 50cents/svg, a bowl of cereal w/ milk meets numerous nutrition needs & food budgets, & can be particularly beneficial to low income consumers.
Stop judging cereal 🥣 eaters.
